Ingredients of Cinnamon Rolls

  1. Prepare of For Yeast Proofing.
  2. Prepare 1/2 cup of Water(lukewarm).
  3. It's 1/4 cup of Milk(lukewarm).
  4. It's 1 tsp of Sugar.
  5. It's 2 tsp of Yeast.
  6. It's of For Dough.
  7. Prepare 3 cup of All Purpose Flour.
  8. It's 1/4 cup of Sugar.
  9. It's 2 Tbsp of Butter melted.
  10. It's 1 of Egg.
  11. It's 1/2 tsp of Salt.
  12. You need of For Filling.
  13. You need 1/2 cup of Brown Sugar.
  14. You need 1 Tbsp of Cinnamon powder.
  15. Prepare Pinch of Fresh Nutmeg (jaifal).
  16. Prepare 1/2 bar of Softened Butter.
  17. Prepare 2 Tbsp of Melted Butter.
  18. It's of For Cream Cheese Frosting.
  19. You need 1/2 cup of Cream Cheese.
  20. You need 1/4 cup of Confectioners Sugar.
  21. It's 1 Tbsp of Milk.
  22. It's 2 Tbsp of Melted Butter.
  23. You need 1/4 tsp of Vanilla Essence.

Cinnamon Rolls step by step

  1. Mix together lukewarm water +lukewarm milk in a bowl.add 1 tsp sugar..
  2. Add yeast, cover & keep aside for 5-10 min.this is called Proofing of Yeast.it will help activate yeast & rise up.either yeast swells up/rise up or gives foamy appearance which shows yeast has been proofed well enough..
  3. Add melted butter & sugar in yeast.whisk it to mix.add salt as well..
  4. Add one whole egg.add all purpose flour in yeast mixture..
  5. Mix flour slowly in yeast mixture, not all flour at a time.now mix it with hands..
  6. Gradually mixture takes form of soft dough.take little flour at a time and knead dough..
  7. When a soft dough is formed.cover it with clingfilm & keep for minimum 1 hr..
  8. Make filling by mixing brown sugar with cinnamon powder & pinch of fresh nutmeg (jaiful). Keep aside..
  9. Check after an hour or so, the dough has risen up.punch it & then roll it in ball of smooth dough once again..
  10. Dust rolling surface with dry flour & roll out the dough in square or rectangle log..
  11. Take softened butter & spread it on dough log with brush or with hands..
  12. Spread cinnamon filling at log..
  13. Start rolling the log from one side tightly.roll till the end. Keep dusting the surface if you need help in rolling the log..
  14. Level the dough with spatula or dough cutter.cut the log in equal parts around 10-12..
  15. Place butter paper on a baking tray or oven proof tray & place each roll,leaving space in between for further rising..
  16. I had 12 cinnamon rolls kept in two seprate dishes.cover the dish with samp cloth & keep aside for 30 min.after 30 min the cinnamon rolls puffed up some more & rise in volume.brush melted butter at top of rolls..
  17. Bake in prehaeted oven at 180°c for 20-25 min. Do check in between..
  18. Make cream cheese frosting. Take cream cheese in a bowl.add melted butter,confectioners sugar, milk,essence & mix well without any lumps. It should be soft smooth flowy in texture.keep in fridge till use..
  19. Take out hot cinnamon rolls from oven & pour cream cheese frosting while they are hot so as the flavours are absorbed fully. Sprinkle some cinnamon filling over the rolls..
  20. Super yummy soft delicious fragrant cinnamon rolls are ready to serve. Enjoy this eid with a melt in mouth delicacy & praise to AllahSWT..
  21. You can make cinnamons & keep refrigerated in air tight box for 1-2 week. Before using, take out from freezer & keep outside for 1 hr & then bake in same manner..
